1gb Ddr Sdram Info

Hi guys,
I've bought a new motherboard and at least the heatsink and fan started up this time. I've put in a 1GB DDR SDRAM mod and reset the CMOS. However, the BIOS still bleeps which means theres something wrong with the memory. I've looked at the manual and it says it supports 1gb dimm mods which use "the 512mb technology." WHat does this mean.

I pretty sure that either your BIOS is broken or your memory is just not plugged in all the way.

Well its a new motherboard and its been tested by the seller and is working. I'm pretty sure the ram won't go in any further and the white plugs are in the top slot, but il have another luk

have you tried the RAM in different slots?

No but its in DIMM SLot1 and in the manual it says place it in that slot. But I'll try it anyway. Thanks

it may be the slot thats dodgy. changing slot has fixed many peoples problems
