1) Get a better PSU Brand: PC Power & Cooling (expensive but the best out there.) Corsair, Thermaltake, Antec, Silverstone, maybe OCZ. (I might be missing a few) You wont need a 1000W PSU either. Anything over 800 with a good company you will be able to crossfire the cards from #3.

2)Get RAM from a different company: GSkill, Corsair, and Crucial are all better.
Also only get 6 gb it will be way more than enough.

3)Get a Radeon HD 5870 with the extra money from the drop in RAM. (Go with XFX here the $410 card is great with the 2 year warranty)

4)10,000 RPM HDD are a little overpriced. I would recommend a 7200 RPM HDD and a small SSD for your OS.

5)I think you would have to change the motherboard im not sure EVGA boards support Crossfire (I may be wrong). Gigabyte Asus and MSI are good companies to get them from.

If you are stuck on nvidia the GTX 275's are $220 at Microcenter, very close performance. I cannt see any reason to buy a GTX285 if they are the normal $350-$400. The ATI 5850 is faster ($310) or the new GTX470 is $350 and faster also.

Same as above on the HDD^

The reason I wanted to get the ultra power supply is because I like how you can plug in just what you need and not have extra wires all over. Are there any better brands that have that same option?

If you want to look for more or whatever, just search up "modular power supply"

any suggestions for screens?

That's a lot of money to spend on a small data hard drive. A Samsun Spinpoint F3 or Western Digital Caviar Black 1Tb/1.5Tb/2Tb drive would be a better choice. Both series of drives are very fast.

Spending that much on the RAM really wont give you any real performance increase.

Im assuming your going with the $230 models after MIR. I Suggest the GSkill DDR3 1600 for $170.

Ahh ya and the HDD 7200 RPM???
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148337 is a good one and cheaper.

For SSD

You could get those 2 and it would be about $20 more than the 10000 RPM Drive

Haha and the vlociraptor thing made me laugh. One day at pole vault practice a chick was acting like a dinosaur and says im a flossiraptor. This may sound stupid but picture her acting like one ^^.

Monitor just look for what size/stuff you want such as speakers or TV tuners in it.
Cheap and decent 22":

Not sure but you could save $70 on the OS Home edition i think would be fine... Never seen anyone doing any of the following not listed:

The 10,000 RPM one is a little better but not worth $130.

Get the 7200 RPM and then as big of an SSD as possible with remaining cash. Look for decent brands youve heard of before though. Intel, Kingston, OCZ, Crucial, A-Data, WD so on.
