1st Install of XP Pro on Custom Build

Follow the previous suggestions regarding Boot order in the BIOS settings and go from there.

This is how I have setup all my computers in the past and it has not failed me.

He has already said he is using seperate ide cables. So this wont work. look in your bios is it detecting the HD?

When the computer starts up it detects the HD but when i go into the bios only the CDROM is detected.
