1st reformat, Win 98Se, Freezing problems now-Help!

In my Add & Remove Programs, I have "Internet Explorer Q891781" also is Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 SP1 & internet tools, and I have some Windows Updates also, one is "KB891711 update". I have heard this is notorious for crashes and illegal errors. Should I have 2 of these internet Explorers and should I delete that bad update. ? Anyone else have these freezing problems with Windows 98 SE?
