2 6800gt SLI vs. 1 7800gtx

in many benchmarks, scores fluctuate between the the gtx and 6800 ultra SLI. you're better off getting the gtx so later on you can tack on another gtx when they become much cheaper

Ah yes, but by then they'll have a better card out and then you'll be telling me I should buy that one instead of a second 7800gtx and you'll also tell me I can tack another one on when they become cheaper.

It's a vicious cycle. Really though you are probably right. I guess I'll wait and not upgrade to SLI then.

If you alredy have a 6800 (which i just realized you do) I guess it really doesnt matter. But thats my opinion which is probably wrong.

SLI is only for those with ALOT of cash. It is much better for most people to just keep getting a better single card.

I think they even said the 7800GT is better than two 6800s. Or maybe that was 6800GTs not Ultras...

If you have the money get the GTX otherwise go for the GT.

And newegg has the cheapest price for a lot of things.
