2 DVI, 1 hdmi, 1 displayport

I recently purchased a dell xps 8300 with the geforce gtx 560 ti (oem)

It has 4 ports - 2 DVI, 1 hdmi, 1 displayport

Can i run four monitors with all four ports?

I am currently running 2 monitors with one dvi and hdmi ports being used

What is the easiest way to convert displayport to dvi or vga, i am a little confused with this active/passive stuff

As a note i am not looking to play games I am a trader who needs the screens for excel and an extra browser, nothing too intense

no. For Nvidia you have to (aka Must, prerequisite, not optional) use 2 cards to run more than 2 monitors.

If you had a ATI card you could run 3 monitors on 1 card, I think there is a HD6770 version that can run like 4 or 5 on a single card, but you are going to have a limited resolution because of vRAM and chipset speed limitations. But for what you need you should be able to run ok with one.
