2 Gig or 4 Gig?

I am currently running 2 gig of memory and I wanted to know should I upgrade to 4 gig?I know 4 gig's of memory is dirt cheap.My system runs great so would I see any gains by adding the 2 more gig's of memory.

What OS do you have? Keep in mind you need 64 bit OS to run 4 gigs

first off, unless u r diing heavy graphical editing or video editing, it wont make a difference. And second, 4 gigs wont run on a 32 bit edition OS, 3.5 gigs is around the limit. so no, dont do it

Vista is certainly faster on 4gb over 2gb, it can run on a 32-bit PC, just limited to an amount which varies on each PC.

If your are running XP - No, its not worth it
If your running Vista - take it to the max

not to post jack but i just built my first computer and have 2 gigs of ram i am running vista 32 bit if this os doesn't recognize 4 gigs of ram is it worth it to go to that much ram?

Ram is so cheap I think I'm going to get 4 gig anyway.
