2 Graphics Card

Hello.

I have two graphics cards on my computer.

One is a Geforce FX 5200. One is a Intel 845G.

Some games work better with the fx 5200. But some games suprisingly work better on the 845G.

Is there any way I can have both installed at the same time and switch between them in the properties menu?

ya, right, my mistake, didn't understand your post..lol..
but still do you think its possible ?..i dont think so

That is NOT SLi. That is integrated graphics on your motherboard (Intel 845G) and an add-in graphics card (FX5200).

And no you can not have two installed at the time same and switch between. If you want to switch between, it requires a driver uninstall/install.

He is not trying to SLI them. He wants to have both enabled, but switch them when he wants.

You can try leaving the integrated enabled when you have the FX 5200 installed, but you would have to manually switch the cables to see the display on each video card.

If the 5200 uses AGP, then it's not possible. You can't have two AGP cards going at once. The onboard video would be running as AGP, thus is disabled when another card is present.

Now if you have AGP and PCI, I think you could switch between the cards in display proporties. However, unless you used a KVM switch or maybe a monitor with duel inputs, you'd still have to manually switch the cable between the two VGA connections.

He's talking about the integrated Intel 845G, and also the FX5200.

A KVM switch would be a good idea, that way you wouldnt need to manually change the VGA cable from the onboard to the card.
