Ive been reading a lot of threads and (at least what is sounds like to me) it seems a lot of people are putting 2 graphics cards in their computer. What would incline them to do this? Why isnt 1 good enough?

Sorry if this is a stupid question.

one "Value" card paired with another "Value" card is almost as good as a non "value" card, and saves you a decent sum of money, it also relieves the stress on the singular videocard giving smoother framerates

both. but mainly what it is and all the physical details

sli (nvidia) crossfire (ati) allows you to put two video cards together onto one sli-able/crossfire motherboard. people do it cause they can buy one video card with the money they have now and when it comes time to upgrade, instead of tossing the card now and buyying a better one, they can just buy another of the same card or a better one (currently only with crossfire, but the better card would be downclocked so it matches the other card), put them together, and get a major improvment.

you can run 4 moniters with 1 card if you want. at elast with nvdia you can, you just use the drivers and selet the ones you want.
