2 in 1? Newbie Question

Is there a graphics card out there that doubles as a TV tuner card -so you can watch tv on your computer?

Yes the radeon All in wonder series of graphic cards works as both graphic card and tv tuner.

It says on the radeon site under Display Support

"One display (VGA or DVI) simultaneously connected with a TV or VCR"

Is this the case with all tv tuner cards?

o yea, i got a question to go with this also. im getting a AIW 9800 pro, and was wondering... do u need anything else with it to be able to watch tv on ur comp? im thinking not but, just to make sure b4 i buy it.

i dont think so, how much $ do u have? if i were u then i would but a sweet vid vard then just get a tv tuner card

Is this the case with all tv tuner cards?

No. Its only the case if the tuner comes attached to a normal video card.

Theres also the nVidia Personal Cinema based cards
