2 or 1 Video card?

At the moment I am trying to decide if I should upgrade to a sli configuration or get a single stronger card. My previous cards were 2x GTS 250 but one died on me and I feel the other is on its last leg.

I am currently looking to get 2 of the following cards for a sli configuration:

EVGA 012-P3-1570-AR GeForce GTX 570 (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

This is my current configuration:

CORSAIR DOMINATOR 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model CMD8GX3M4A1333C7

Intel 320 Series SSDSA2CW120G3K5 2.5" 120GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Western Digital Caviar Black WD5002AALX 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

Antec TruePower Quattro TPQ-1000 1000W Continuous Power ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC "compatible with Core i7/Core i5" Power Supply

COOLER MASTER Stacker 830 Evolution RC-830-KKN3-GP Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case

LG DVD Burner

Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

My question is. Should I stick with my choice or is there a single card that will cost me less than buying those 2 and give me more performance?

My only requirements is that is must be either a ASUS or EVGA card with at least a 80% 4-5 star rating or equivalent from other sites.

I do not overclock as I prefer stability and mostly because I am not that well versed in overclocking yet.

Thank you for any advice I get.

Thank you for the reply, please do not be offended as I was hoping for more than a "It should". I will keep looking into but you have helped me narrow what to look for. Thank you again.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It's always good to double-check. ;)
