2 OS same files

Is it possible to have 2 OS on a hard drive, but they boot up and have access to the same programs? This is my situation.

I will have 3 HDs on my work computer. 3 x WD 36GB/10K RPM

1 - OS/Windows and Games
2 - All files, images, documents, music, etc
3 - Programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Office, etc)

Is there a way so that when I boot up, if I choose the Windows OS option, I have access to the all the files, and vice versa if I boot up with a Mac OS? Hope this isnt a stupid question.
 
Not sure what your asking, but i have had up to 8 OS's on my computer and i could access all the files, just make sure you dont reformat or install a fresh copy of an os.
 
Sorry im not sure how to say it. I would like to have Windows and Mac OS on the computer. When I boot up with either one, I want access to all the programs and files from either OS that ive installed.
 
Mac and Windows wont run natively (is that the correct word?) on the same box. There is a way to run windows as a program in mac os x using virtual PC. I bet there is a way to something like this in windows but i've no experience with it.

As far as programs...programs are generally MAC or Windows. Not mac and windows so you would have to install two sets of programs

Probable=If its a must have feature
 
You can do this with Linix and windows, you can do it with any other operating system OTHER then MAC, MAC will ONLY work on MAC comptuers.
 
Hmm, I might go with the Mac OS. What do you mean Macs only work on Mac? Dont they use they same CPUs, Ram, GPUs and all that? Like in my sig?
 
And furthermore if you want to access the same data files (save files) through the two operating systems, that's not possible as the coding for the two OS's are completely different.
