2 power connections

HELP_ME

i picked up an old computer and i noticed it has to "outlets?" to connect the powersupply to the wall. a male and a female connection. why are there two and which do i use.

You'll need a power cord that will have the female on one end (which hooks to your psu) and the male on the other (which goes to the wall) I believe is what you're looking for / asking about.

a normal PSU cord is what you will need and it will only plug into one place
like the other said the 2nd " outlet " is for a monitor

As above, the power cord will have a female that plugs into the computer which will be male. The other is/was used to power crt monitors.

Eh, there are other uses :D LCDs, use the cord as an extension.. should be pretty obvious if you have the cord :D
