2 problems

ok, i have an emachine with windows xp home sp2. I also have mcafee viruscan 2005. The first problem deals with svchost.exe, every 5 seconds, i get a error message saying svchost.exe has encountered an error and needs to close. I dno why it does that but i know not to delete svchost.exe so im stmped. The second problem is a trojan that doesnt leave. Whenever i start mcafee viruscan, a notice pops ur and says rdriv.sys trojan deceted and deleted. so i hit continue wat i was doing on the m,essage and then 2 seconds later, the same message pops up. Ive tried finding the base and deleting it, running a scan in safemode. but mothing seems to work. Please help!

the svchost sounds like a piece of spyware trying to run/stop/install something. In general it seems all the problems are computer security related. Still, read QUESTIONS 101 anyway so we know what you're using.
