first of all, i need a new mobo, under 150, preferably a good one that i can use for several years or more without upgrading. needs pci express, sata 2, maybe SLI although i dont use it right now. i have the GA-K8N Ultra-9 right now, and its been having problems lately (cant install my new heatsink on it, wont read my digital camera or USB drive, cant overclock correctly, etc). im looking for a good step up from this board. thanks.

also, if i upgrade the mobo, will i have to do anything to the software, or can i just plug all the cables into it and it will work? i dont want to have to remove all the information from my 2 hard drives (in RAID 0). thanks again.

That mobo is $160 but is a good, solid board that will last you a while.

This one is $135, and is pretty much the same as the above mobo.

as for the software, etc, you may have to dl some drivers for all of your hardware to work, and you may have to flash BIOS, but you shouldn't lose the info on your hard drives.

I agree with computermaineack if you wanted more opinions. ASUS are known for relyability, and they are mobos that perform well.

nope, both mobos that i gave you have integrated raid controllers. everything should work just dandy.
