2 screens one Black when playing video....

hey i have a GeFORCE FX 3D 5700 on my pc and i have it connected on my tv screen with video out that came with the card... now when i try to view a video i can view it on pc but not on tv.. like= the window media player window opens but where it should show the video it doesnt.. :o :eek:
that happens when i have the pc screen as 1st screen and the tv as 2nd...
when i do the opposite,,,, (pc is the 2nd) i can view video on tv but not on pc :o
any ideas ??
(btw i will try with 2 PC screens and i will see )
 
Whats the problem with that, surely your not going to be watching the same video on two different screens at the same time are you?? (or have i got the wrong end of the stick here???)
 
I know you can with some video cards... It all has to do with the video overlay and which monitor is the primary one for it... I know my old ATI had a really nice setup for which monitor got videos, plus it had Theater Mode(which I suggested to ATI just weeks before it was part of the drivers -.-)

Anyway, just play around with your settings, I have a 6800GT but I'm still not exactly sure how all the TV Out settings work...
 
Well you could watch the same anything on both your tv and pc if you select the mirror option which should be some where in the nVidia control panel.
 
thats what i select mirror option so.. everything it shows on the one screend shows and on the other .... but when i try to view video i can only watch it on the 1st screend not on the 2nd
