today is the day i finally buy my components for my gaming pc this is what I am going to get so far. I have some questions though that i will appreciate it you could help me out with. can i buy the optical drive, sound card and cpu cooler later in the future? and will my 1tb hard drive do for now till i later buy a 128 gb ssd I plan on only doing school work till i get all the stuff listed above

I would not get a coolermmaster PSU, look for antec, corsair, OCZ, NZXT, PC power and cooling, seasonic, silverstone, or XFX.

the 2600k will have little to no gaming performance over a 2500k. if you are not using a 5+ thread intensive program, or multitasking with multiple multithread programs, then save a little and get a 2500k.

yes your 1TB will work till you buy a SSD.
 
I wouldn't get tha cooler master psu, not the best brand, and that's enough power for almost 3, for one get a 650w, 2 get an 850 and from Corsair, Antec, XFX, PC Power & Cooling, Silverstone, Seasonic

Also look at the combos, the 2600k should be combo'd with that or a similar mobo for 20-30 off extra.
 
Actually you need an optical drive and a copy of windows if you want to actually use the computer.
 
not 100% true. You can get a digital download from M$ and install via USB, but that is more trouble than you want now.

your CPU will come with a cooler, but you would be better with an aftermarket one to start with.
 
you can get the cooler master hyper 212 plus for 30 and prob get the i7 to about 4.2/3ghz, i know it gets the 2500k to 4.5

And many people have had problems with i7's overheating with the stock cooler.
