21c Cpu?

A kid I know claims his Q6700 (Liquid Cooled) stays a constant 21C! That believable? He has the Kandalf LCS Tower and all. But still. My stock temps for the E6600 were around 29-31C.

Another friend of mine claims his AMD 6000+X2 stays at a constant 23C! Air cooled!

Any of this sound believable?

Theres no reason to doubt it, since 21C is 70F. If he has his room in the low/mid 60's then 21C is very easily obtained with liquid cooling. I myself am getting 25C with my Q6600 at stock with air.

Thats what you have to ask him, Im getting that on air cooling when Im doing nothing. My basements a few degrees cooler than the rest of my house :P

Air cooled to 25C? Under load or idle?

My Liquid cooled CPU is at 30C when stock.

Sounds like it's really happening :) My Celeron Conroe 420 1.6GHz @ 2.13GHz with stock cooler and stock thermal paste, it getting 27C idle... and this room is pretty hot... :)

i dont know about the amd being 23c...

its a hot cpu ive got mine watercooled and im getting 23c-25c with the radiator fan on lowest setting

His room would have to be atleast 50-60 F and his cpu would have to be at idle state to do that otherwise he's just braggin about nothing.

Now that its winter its cold. I leave My room window open and leave my comp on, My sig CPU idles between 25-27 C. So he must be at idle to say that.

Yes air cooled, and idle. My processor was averaging 50-55C idle when I had it overclocked to 3.6GHz and running at 1.45v.

What were you using to monitor the temps?

He went home and installed Asus AI Suite and turned out he idles @ 36c!
