Hi there,

I have this old (I bought it 4-5 years ago) Acer laptop Aspire 5570z. Its 14" and I wanted to get some nice monitor for it so I can finally see what Im doing :)

I was wondering if there are cons as to why this may not work...? In terms of resolution etc.
I have got only VGA and of course Im looking for screens that have got VGA input.

Many thanks!

No cons really, just plug in the VGA from monitor to laptop and on the Acer, there should be a button on one of the F keys that when you press it with FN, it should display the screen on an external monitor.

I would recommend, if not already installed, to install the intel graphics accelerator in the laptop so that you can properly adjust the resolution.

They also sell many convertors so if you find a monitor that only has DVI, there's some sort of convertor out there for it.

thanks guys!

the other thing I was wondering was... if such and old graphic card (integrated) will be able to pull such big resolution??

It should be able to do up to 1080p (I think) as long as your not doing anything graphically intense like games. Basic computer usage, it should be fine.
