2560x1600

I'm building a new computer and I have 2 of the I-INC 28" 1920x1200 and I really love them. But now I see the 30" 2560x1600 and I figure I just got to have one. Personally I wouldn't have a 2560x1440 because the I-INC's I have now has me spoiled with the big screen. So I figure if I really want to play some games I just have to have this big monitor. So my question is what would be the best video card for it. I'm thinking the R9-270X but what a monster at almost 16 inches. Of course the i5 4690 will be running this operation. I just want some feedback on this 30" monitor which I can get for $400 but I thought I would ask if anyone knows anything about these monitor?

R9 270X wouldn't be able to push that resolution very well for higher gaming. Also. Where the hell are you finding a 270X that's 16 inches long? 270X's are like 10 inches long about.

I have the Dell 3007WFP and a GTX 780. It runs most everything that I need at max details. I don't use AA or AF so I can't comment the performance hit if you enable it. From what I have looked at the difference when using AA and AF on the hi resolution displays is not nearly as much as a 1080 display.

A 270x would be able to push it, but not at high details most of the time. If you are serious about cranking up the details, I would save up for a higher end card.

You can probably run games at 2560x1440 with a 270X but don't expect max settings or a million frames per second. ;)

Does that Rage game you like to play even support 2560x1440?

Yeah that's a massive 270X, most of them are much smaller.

And yeah a 270X could run 1440P but I'd personally want something with a bit more power for a resolution that high.
