2600k vs. i7-950 OC

Since the flaw with the sandy bridge I have been looking at getting the i7-950 overclocked by 30%. How would its performance be vs. the 2600k?
Im just not sure if I want to wait a couple months for the 2600k to come back before buying a new computer.

It won't even be months. Intel is going to want to get those back on the self ASAP. Wait for the new batch, you'll save a lot of money and have a faster CPU.

Get the 2500K and OC it yourself. It'll be cheaper than an i7-9** build when coupled with 4GB of dual-channel RAM and a P8P67 and faster too.

Honestly id just wait...I too was going to upgrade but after the bugs it makes you wonder what might be found next. Id still choose the i5-2600k over the older i7 but id wait for them to fix their goof and let them mature more.Tomshardware I believe claimed the new chipsets will be delayed till April. Though they were suppose to be releasing the z67 chipset before April so I dunno lol.

Suppose its not a 100% for sure but so far not looking good :P Great chance for AMD to slash Intel in the throat with Bulldozer. If it even comes close to the SB chips with overclocking/performance you know it will only boost AMD and make a real competition again.
