Hey guys, Just bought the new Samsung 27' LCD Monitor. Problem is I cant get the right resoultion. I have it maxxed out but it still doesnt fit the monitor. I am using the HIS Radeon 5870 Turbo Video Card. Any ideas on how to make my screen fit right?

Turnes out you need a VGA connector >.> Any who. I am still getting screen flickering durring hard loads like loading screens for games.

If you mean white lines flickering across the screen that is normal i get that in games such as dirt 2 and F1 2010 Particularly on start-up logos.

You shouldn't have any problems with the resolution using DVI or HDMI. This is a monitor, right? Not a TV? Have you tried updating your video drivers?

Yea. As of now I have everything updated. The HDMI wouldnt fit the full screen. It was a bout an inch short. I played around with it for about 2 hours and no luck so I switched to DVI which is still a very nice picture. The one problem I am still having is those damn USB ports on my mobo. I have a total of 6, 4 normal and two 3.0 USB ports. I have updated my mobo and still no luck. I have to use the two usb ports that came with my case.

Now, the USB ports DO work. but when I move my mouse it moves in glitches. (it will move an inch across the screen and freeze, and so on.) And for my keyboard. It will not type correctly. For example if i were to type Apple, It would probablly turn up like this - Apl I have used this mouse and keyboard on previous computers and they have worked perfectly. Not sure what's going on.

27'....means 27 feet. no one else caught that. Haha. I'm guessing this is a computer you built yourself, correct?

Get the updates for your monitor from the website. I also have Samsung monitor and the drivers that were on my cd were not the latest ones.

check the manual of the monitor, may be there is something already mentioned about this kind of problem and how to fix it.
Otherwise upgrading the drivers should work.
