well when i built my first computer i bought "OCZ Platinum Revision-2 2048MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz Dual Channel Memory (2 x 1024MB)" when i put both sticks into my computer and i run my computer my computer will crash.

when i run at only 1 gig of ram my computer is fine.

if i switch the sticks and only run on 1 gig it still runs fine.

Computer specs:
XFX 680iLT
XFX GeForce 8500 GT
Intel Core2 Duo E4500
OCZ Platinum Rev 2 2048MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz (2x1024) (only 1 stick right now)
500Watt Antec EarthWatts PSU.

*sorry but its been a while since i had 2 gigs (like a couple of weeks) so i do not remember any of the BSOD codes.*

your mobo will likely have 4 slots for RAM and two of the slots will be 1 color and the other 2 will be another color. usually it's like red and yellow and then a space on your motherboard, and then red and yellow again. dual channel means both on red or both on yellow, not one on each.

you should probably be running them in dual channel.

i had problem like that, ithink so. it turns out my cpu was overheating...nvm its nothing similiar....srry

if memtest doesn't find antyhing then

try lowering the frequency of the ram or rma the motherboard. thos were the solutions i've seen that worked
