Hi just looking for some advice, do you believe that this build would be a good buy and value for money? It comes with no processor so I'd have to purchase a new one preferably a dual core to keep costs down maybe around 3ghz or higher could you recommend one for me please?
Pc specs are:

4gb ddr3 memory

am3 mother board foxconn a76ml-k 3.0 capable of the 6 core phenoms as well as he quad core am3 types along with other am3 processors, ( tested but unused motherboard)

750gb samsung hard drive 7200/32mb cache,

dvd/cd rewriter,

radeon hd4670 graphics card 1gb ddr3

400w power supply

This is available for around £124 without the processor what are your thoughts is it good deal? and will it be able to play top end games?
Thank you for your time any replies would be much appreciated.

Depending on how much that is, it doesn't sound bad. Im going to guess a bit less than 200 usd. Is your budget including the processor or not? definitely don't expect to get decent downstairs in games. That's not a very good graphics card. It'll play games. But no where close to Max settings.

Yeah the budget is including the CPU, I was thinking of mainly playing football manager 2012 on it hopefully on full settings and maybe fifa 12 on medium settings if the graphics can handle it?

I wasnt saying its a bad choice. Hell, im running a 955 @ 3.8GHz. That little, no L3 cached dual just seems slow. It will still kick arse in that price range.

yeah, i know, but i wish i even had something like it, remember my sig, the pentium dual core et2210 @ 2.2ghz and a athlon xp 2400+ @ 2ghz, while my dad is in the other room on a f-ing i7-860 @ 2.8ghz (+27" imac screen while this is a 1280x1024 17" and the athlon is on a 720p 22" but only looks right on 1152x864 or lower)

haha. Seems about right.
But then again, I had to work for mine. And its still just running a HD 4270 integrated. Looking to get a GPU soon, maybe a 5970, newegg has them cheap right now

yeah, trying to get some money and all, but we be broke and all and luckily my granddad wants to sell some stuffs on ebay, so he's gunna let me do it and have some of the money, but doubt it will be much/anything, wish he would either buy or not buy this gas station he's interested in (he be well off, going by net worth or whatever that has possessions and stuff included he'd be considered a millionaire)

Same with my grandad. He was a Bloody Millionare x2 just cash wise before he sold his business for 3.5 million. Hes going to give me a bit, but only after I turn 18. So counting down.

feel free to spread the love man ;)

the only thing i expect to inherit is the pissed-ness at my aunt (and 2 cousins who were home-"schooled" to be the way she is, one of their husbands and currently his parents) who destroys every home/vehicle "she" (means granddad owns it, as in all those i listed before live in a house he owns and only pay like 500 a month rent for a nice 2 story house) owns. although i do plan to, bro and sis don't care about the stuff, his comps and also his 2 large sony and 2 large peavy speakers and his mixer thingy that controls tham and all, then either use it or buy something new to set it up into the sickest surround sound around, either one of the sets literally will cause deafness and/or ear bleading, i'm not kidding, when iu was like 5 i put the sony's on half volume and the next time we turned them on we were screaming to turn it off and couldn't hear each other, and that was from like 3ft away, these things are sick, believe the peavy's were 200+ each in the early 80's or 70's so prob closer to something like 4-500 each now i'd guess.

be smart and go forclosures, granddad bought one for aunt and others and got like a 150k 2 story house in this market for like 50k i believe, more than even a 4 person family needs, so you'd be set for a long time if you could find something similar.

Heck, Im getting a 1 bedroom house. Cause my life plan is to never marry, have no kids, and leave no mark on this world before I die somewhere between 35 and 40.

PS OP sorry for thread jacking

i was thinking about posting that when i clicked on it to respond this time, but wtf kind of plan is that  who plans to never do any of that stuff then die between 35 and 40, unless you just plan to get laid as often as possible, then that's just every guys dream sort of.

but wtf kind of plan is that  who plans to never do any of that stuff then die between 35 and 40, .
I have a medical reason for dying young.
As for the other part, I know how it feels to grow up without a father. I am not putting someone though that. Marriage needs love, an emotion, that is illogical. cant give it, so cant get it, thus not getting married.

What's wrong with you, other than apparently being emotionly deficit, and just have to throw in there if you plan to do that then feal free to give me some of those "current toys" in your sig, no need to leave them to waste.

I wouldnt get rid of my toys. Though one sits constatently because of the estimated 5MPG it gets (but it will pull darn near anything).

Anyway, I got Diabeties Insulin dependent. And doing a little algebra, based on nerve degeneration rates so far, I will not be able to hold a steady heart Beat somewhere between 35 and 40 years old. This is because there will be no nerves left to carry the signal that says "beat"
