2nd Hard Drive..

i installed an hard drive from a failed computer into a diff Dell. The drive is recognized and files are available. But some of the programs on the old drive will not open on the new computer.

Will I have to re-install all the programs from the old drive to get them to work? I have even opened the exe file and it still will not run.

IMO, it would be best to reinstall all of the software from the old drive onto the new drive. When you install software, there are registry edits and such that are done. Those are missing on the new drive right now.
