i am also wanting to use this computer for atleast a solid 5 years and i might be doing some future upgrades so which 1 would you recommend

If you can't afford the i7 build, that i5 one is pretty good.

In either of them, though, I'd ge a faster hard drive than a WD green. Those are pretty slow. WD Caviar Black or Samsung Spinpoint F3 is what most people recommend.

The 6GB/s interface by itself won't make a difference, since no mechanical drive goes over the 3GB/s mark, but those will definitely be faster drives.

kk awsome i might just go i7 for the hell of it later i will upgrade to sli
and i hope to have this comp for ages and yer

Socket 1366 is much more futureproof. You'll atleast have the option of going to the I7 970 or 980x 32nm hex core cpu's. 1156 is going no where, highest choice will only ever be the 875k I7.

If you want SLI later, save yourself some money now and just buy a gtx460 1gb. The 460's scale better than the 470, so two 460's in SLI is just as strong if not better than two gtx470's!

you could also go with a cooler master storm scout or the 690 II advanced, both of those cases are cheaper here.

Also, forget that motherboard. Do you have gigabyte boards there? The X58-USB3 is just as good as that Asus board you have listed there, and should be a decent bit cheaper. Or the ASRock X58 extreme is the board I have, and is pretty much the cheapest X58 board there is. It doesn't seem to lack any quality, I like it.

And one other thing, is the I7 930 cheaper there? If it's only a couple bucks just get the 950 but if it's $20 or more just get the 930. They overclock just as well.
