2x Geforce 8800 GTS or 1x Geforce 8800 GTX?

i'm building a new gaming rig and was wondering if i should SLI 2x Geforce 8800 GTS, or just buy 1 of the 8800 GTX? i'm leaning more toward the SLI, but i don't know much about graphics cards

hmmmmm,i would go for the SLI too:

-if one card fries you have a backup
-more ports
-more combined computing power (combined clockspeeds of the 2 GTS's will exceede that of the GTX)
-can have more monitors
-most likely will have a higher frame rate (b/c of faster combined clock speed)

If you want to get GTS then make sure that it is the 512MB version

Don't get 320MB or 640MB version because they are based on the old G80 core

Double agreed. SLI isn't worth it, IMO.
