However, the 2x4gb configuration will give you (if you have 4 slots in your motherboard) room to upgrade in the future. The counter argument being 4x2gb is usually cheaper. I would go with 2x4gb.

diduknowthat formerly liuliuboy Jul 3, 2011 #3 2 x 4GB. Less chips, less heat, less cluster, and more room for upgrade.
