i have 3.000 pounds ( 6.000 Dollars ) to spend on a computer
for myself.
My mum just got like 140.000 payout so shes giving me 3k pounds for a computer.

Anyway im only 14 so i need some help on finding a computer which i can
order off the internet ( Europe only ) or if close i could go drive down there.
I come from england so not so far.

I need a fully gaming computer. Basicly built for dx10 games like
Crysis and others.

Anyway if anyone knows of a good computer i can get for 3k Pounds or 6k Dollars please help.
Or i know how to build a computer so just give me a link to a good ( europe ) Computer website and i can buy all my pieces.

Thanks!
P.S: im only 14 years old so no computer baloney please ^_^

You are one lucky kid, you know that?

Wish my mum would give me 3000 Quid
and according to paypal its $5700 at thoe moment :) Just gotta be pickey

Anyway, i use Novatech for all my components, so if people help this kid get his build, i would advise using that site

$6000 on a computer!?!?!?!? haha damn dude buy some drugs instead and go clubbing.. haha woops ur 14.. hmmm.. well u dont need to spend the whole lot on one computer my suggestion would be to do some reaserch on computer shops around ur area and see which one is the cheapest and then go in and tell them how much u got to spend and that u want the best gaming parts and they will give u everything u need! :D

To the person above:
i want to spend this as i want to keep it for like 5 years? until i move out.
Also why not? im not gunna say no am i? what else is there too spend it on
thats worth the money. and my mums giving me another 10k Pounds for when im 18 :D

Errrm just a suggestion but you could save that money... you can easily buy a "all singing" DX10 PC for 1k.

Actually modern PC's will now become outdated very quickly. Look at the Core 2 Duo's and Quads, the Duos' have been around for about 12 months and the Quads have been around for about 6 months I think. Not much of a gap between that really. 5 years is a long time in computing.

Not in the UK, even if he had a basic new car it'd be almost uninsurable because in the UK younger drivers are generally seen to be less safe! Which is a bit unfair if you skimp over the story of the young lady driving onto a railway crossing and not realising before being hit by a train.

ok well i do understand what parts i need and how to fix one together.

For everyone saying save it i dont think you understand.
Im 100% getting one. im not changing so damnit dont waste your time.

Also ive found a good 3.000 computer with:
Quad-Core AMD 3.0ghz
16gb
Socket F motherboard. The only one big enuf to fix the proccessor.
768mb DDR3 8800
liquid cooling
5.1 wireless speakers
G15 Logitech keyboard and G5 logitech mouse
2 Monitors. forgot size but there big and cost 250 each.

So that good for 3k?

nope... the only way to get the most out of that money is to get the stuff yourself.... don't look for a 3k system, they are overpriced (almost always). I see nothing about a graphics card there, disk drive or PSU.

You won't be able to tell the difference between a 1.5k system and a 3k system anyway... unless you are doing some pretty serious video editing, while playing crisis on 1 screen and flight sim x on the other while calculating all prime numbers to a billion and PI to a billion decimal places.

Also, (you don't sound like a tech geek like me)... but if I had the money and was forced to spend all of it (... you don't know what's good for you... but I'll stop trying. It isn't my money that's being wasted here), I'd probably make like 6 fairly good computers and cluster them. 6 average processors = better than massively-humongo-power-hog processor.

EDIT: My fault... I take it back about the video card. sorry

i know what u mean by 1.5k isnt much different to a 3k system
but i mean i want to be on a system that will have ease with any game out now and games to come within 3 years. i want to be able to play games like crysis with no trouble on full settings. i want to be able to play everything and brag how ****ing sweet my computer is.

So is 1.5k enough? if so ill take one.
Care to help?

You wont be able to do three years maybe two but the games will be too demanding for the videocards that are out now.

You wont be able to play crysis on full settings with one GTX you will need two in sli and they even struggle playing crysis on high settings.

Heres the real question:

Do you really need a pc to be like that?

Heres how I see it, if you can't put together your own high end pc than you shouldn't have a high end pc because it's just a hassle.
