3 monitors?

Um... no... The max RAM 32bit Windows can use is something around 3.5GB. I'm pretty sure the rest is just sort of lost seeing as Windows isn't capable of addressing it.

I know some RAM can be allocated as additional RAM for your video card. With AGP it was your "AGP Aperture". I forget what it's called for PCI-Express. But regardless, with AGP it was only used when you ran out of VRAM. Plus system RAM is typically a fair amount slower than VRAM. PLUS, simply adding RAM to a video card does not enable it to support additional displays.

I never said it did. All I was trying to say is that the more memory, the bigger the resolutions it can withstand.

lolll thats not true either. More memory lets it handle the higher resolutions a little easier, but there is a limit as to what resolution a video card and send to the monitor, as well as a limit on the resolution a monitor can display.

There is also a bigger limit on how much money you spend. A video card can support 2560x1600. A 30" monitor is 1920x1200. Why would you want anything bigger, it's not practical lol, or cost efficient.

Just get a VGA splitter, cheapest and easiest solution. All the comps at my work use them because our video cards only have one port, but with that u can go dual monitor. With a dual monitor video card, if u put this into one of the ports you could go 3 diplays.

Sorry BUD, but that don't suit my needs, I don't want to display the same stuff on two monitors, I know you can get a box from MATROX(I think it is) that splits display from one output onto three monitors to be used as one, but they're NOT cheap.

k BUD, that is what we use on all of our computers at work to display separate programs on separate monitors. We use it to have multiple programs open within different monitors to increase productivity etc, BUD. But if thats not what you're looking for, BUD, I'm sorry I couldn't help you out more BUD.

BUT it wouldn't increase my productivity because it shows the same information on each screen(clone)(at least with the link you gave me for that splitter) I don't want that, If I did then I would just use the clone feature of my current graphics card!!(and no need to be sarcastic;))
