3 pin or 4 ?

okay I ordered my thermaltake max orb cooler from newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835106103 and I realized it has a 3 pin connector EEEK my gigabyte 956p DS3 MOBO has the 4 pin connection can i plug a 3 pin onto the 4 pin? or am i screwed?

3 pin goes on the motherboard... it should be by the RAM / HSF or at the bottom of the mobo.... yuo can buy a 4 pin to 3 pin wire for it...

There is a 4 pin standard(NOT molex) that goes to your motherboard. I think it's mostly an intel standard.
