Hi,

I'm headed to college and I plan to ship my current desktop there (see sig), but I'm going to need a laptop as well.

I will mainly be doing MS Office work and internet browsing, but a little gaming and video capability would be great.

I am not apposed to getting a netbook, but the turn off for me is the small keyboard size. Therefore I was going to order THIS laptop, but I figured I should you guys first in case I'm making a bad decision.

Could I do better for $400?

That isn't bad for $400. What games are you looking at playing? Because with integrated graphics, you won't be able
to play the latest games at good settings. Then again, for $400, you can probably get a decent used one for that much.

You could get a better laptop with that price range.
Just use you desktop for gaming, laptop for carry around college.

Thanks for the input!

Any ideas on where I might find a better laptop for this price? eBay? Something used or refurbished? Any particular models?

Update: I just searched ebay for a while and I certainly am not finding much better for ~$400. I see laptops with about the same specs, but used or refurb...

Also, TigerDirect just listed THIS Lenovo

I love Lenovo! Their laptops are built really well. I honestly can't list any off the top of my head for that price range.
All you can really do is just browse around on newegg or tiger direct and see what they have an compare different
laptops.
Just found this. If you don't mind spending an extra $50.

Edit: This place can be your friend sometimes: http://www.dealcatcher.com/ as well as www.buy.com

Alright, thanks!

So basically the $400 Lenovo > $400 Toshiba?

Also, I checked deal catcher and found a nice HP Presario for $419. Does the HP look even better?
