Imagine what you could do with that many cores. Although it may use heaps more power than current PCs.

No they won't be that bad on electricity, don't you think the future is all about efficiency? We will probably be driving with hydrogen by the time 128-cores come out.

No, but with graphics and GUIs getting better all the time, it will be needed.
ok so now they dont even sell like pentim 4's like under 2.0ghz .. and slowly getting phased out .. so like in like 5 years time in like 2012 will like core 2 extreams q6xxx be getting phased out lol ... and if thats the case .. where will we find those single core computers that save power and all u use it for is like checking your e-mail lol ..
but anyways .. wow 32 cores .. how'd the come up with that number? .. like 4 8 cores put ontop of each other? lol .. how small will the technology be .. like a atom is like 5 - 10 nanometer and were like down to 45nm already so .. ? ... crazy world we live in .. lol wat bout 2100 ... wat kinda cpu's then lol 1million core CPU lol

i cant imagine how small the transistors will be... atm the dual core is 100 transistors in the siz of a human cell

I guess multiple cores are the current fad, but that should die down eventually.
Since the beginning of the Pentium to the Pentium 4, it's been all about clock speed, and the cores have remained at one. Now the clock speeds arent being increased too drastically, but the cores are being doubled.
