Since I use my pc screen as my tv I was thinking of getting a bigger screen. I want to be able to see it from my bed so I need 26" and above. Since 26" pc screens are pretty expensive and don't have HD I was wondering if a Vizio 32" HD 1080i lcd would be fine???

A new one is only $599

Lcd HDTV's work great as monitors as long as you have a DVI output on your vid card then just buy a DVI to HDMI cable.

I dont think LCD's can burn in, thats mainly for projector TV's.

And why not get an Insignia 32" LCD for $499?

Computer monitors have higher resolutions then LCD TV's. A 22" LCD has a resolution of 1680x1050, whereas a 32" LCD TV has a resolution of 1366x768 I believe. And a 26" or 28" LCD would have a resolution of 1920x1200.

I heard that if you have the same picture on an LCD tv it will burn those colors??/

LCD TV's do have burn-in but do have what is called "image persistance" I have experienced with my HDTV and it's no big deal, just remember to use a screen saver or turn it off when you're not using it.

Also that Vizio on newegg is not 1080i res. I don't know if you game but if you do this Proview HDTV might be what you're looking for because it has 6ms response time. If you don't game you can get a cheaper 32'' like this Westinghouse which does have 1080i res.

720p/1080i are essentially the same format of HD, the vizio has enough pixels to produce 720p images, but it isnt formated correctly to use its pixels to show 1080i picture.

and get an Ilo 32", i believe they are 369.99. Oh and the vizio is only 550 at walmart.
