The_Other_One VIP Member Aug 30, 2007 #2 You shouldn't have to reinstall windows with just a processor upgrade.

If anything a repair install.

I think i might just get a new copper heatsink and this new chip and there I am dual core! btw...I am dual booting with win XP PRO 32BIT And Win Vista Ultimate. In theory both OS's would find my new hardware like they would a new GPU Or RAM?
