360 and PS3 Question

Is there a way to quickly transfer data/gamer tags on the systems?

I am looking to get a second of each in the house (for the bedroom) so I can play in bed if i'd like just incase the girlfriend has people over. But I'd like too continue games i've already started! Or at least be able to play online.

Is it possible to have the same gamer tags on both systems and/or transfer game saved files?

PS3 is easy, you can create a user on the new ps3 and simply use your profile info instead of using new info. You can also backup your ps3 and just restore it on the new one as well.

as for 360... I'm not a fan.

On 360 you can put your gamertag on a memory card which makes it much faster to transfer between consoles.

I've done that a few times, it works great :D
A little unrelated to the topic, but it makes me a little mad that the Wii stores the player info in the controller. It's a bit expensive to replace if you lose that controller and it doesn't fit into a pocket too well :(

there is a way you can use a server to keep game data on each system on the ps3 but im not 100% sure how to set it up as i only have 1 :L
