Yep, that is correct. That is exactly what I did to mine when I noticed the same thing. My 3200+ (at 2.0 GHz) was constantly running at 1.0 GHz in my laptop, even with the AC power plugged in. So, once I set it to home/office, it now runs at 2.0.
