3700+ % usage high

In task manager my 3700+ goes from 8 - 15% on idle, and in the window i can see that the system idle process is doin it, any ideas of what i can do? i already scaned for spyware/viruses
 
the system idle process is almost always around 90-99%. Although it doesnt use up that much cpu usage. close out of any apps that yuo have open to try and get the cpu to 0-3%.
 
thats what i mean, when nothin is running(not even a firewall or antivirus) it idles at 8 - 15%

i dont even know when this started, but im thinking about just doing a reformat
 
um, well...something is definitely running. you cant put one foot in front of the other without moving. you may have scanned for virues, but you probably still have something lingering. remember, the main purpose for their survival is that you cant find them, so they wont pop up in task manager.
 
yea thats what i was thinking, but instead of going through the hassle of findout what, im just going to reformat and install the os again....thanks for tryin to help;)
 
ive dicided it would prolly be better to try to find out whats goin on then reformat, lol

so ill start a post in the virus section with a hijack log
 
No overclocking done.... I just did a reformat of the whole drive and it is still doing it, heres a screenshot

what do u think this could be? I just booted up in that screen and thats idle after boot, with hardly no programs runing....and the even line on the pic is 20%, it hangs out at like 15-20...
