3d drives

hey guys, im considering buying a blu-ray drive for my desktop, and the only thing that is making me hesitate, is with the fact 3d is taking off at the moment will it be a waste of money. does anyone know if there is any rumours of 3d drives in the near future.
 
I think it is pretty clear that will be the future. The question is just how soon for it to become mainstream. It is not a bad idea to purchase the drive just to hold onto it to long so that it is worthless in resale.
 
I'm sure that you are aware that if you "were" able to purchase a 3D drive, it would require that you replace other important parts....ie, video card...monitor, etc if you intended to actually watch any 3D material in 3D on your computer.
 
i knew id have to replace the disk drive and have a 3d capable tv, but didnt know id need a 3d graphics card, is there any 3d gpu already on market ?
