3D Mark'05

Heya

3D Mark 2005 - 3950 Points
3D Mark 2003 - 8900 Points
Aquamark 3 - 64,000 Points

LOL...with a 7800GTX....it's not a surprise your score is that high.

well, with 3dmark03 i get a score of about 450 on the family pc:

2.4Ghz Celeron D (oc'd to 2.73Ghz)
256MB 9600XT
1GB Corsair Value Select
40GB IDE Hard Drive

Lol

That's a decent score actually. I would not be worried all that much. I would have thought that the X800XT would have been faster though. Your problem is most likely your processor which could be a bottleneck.

After checking out all the guys who get scores of 10,000+, i felt Very low. It was then i decided to upgrade this slug, so, we will see what happens i guess, maybe i can find someone with a good used AMD 64 3000+ or better 939 socket chip they wanna sell.

Lol

We are talking about 3D Mark 2005 right? You will not get 10,000+ with any single card currently on 3D Mark 2005. You must have seen scores of 3D Mark 2003 which would make perfect sense.

Yeah, I think that you gotta have atleast PCI-E SLi graphics cards and Dual Prosessors. Then your score will be around 10,000+ in 3D Mark'05.

Here is that list 3D Mark'05 Hall of Fame
Best score is made with SLi cards: 16770 (and that's outrageous score!)

Well it's the graphics card. It's not very powerful on paper and in practice. Oh well....depends on what you use the PC for. The rest of your components are good.

hrmmm, i had a measly 378 3DMarks. Whats up with that, is there something wrong with my system?

Thats 3DMark05 by the way.

i got 3755 with 3DMark03 for my system, havent tried 3DMark05 yet.

And by the way, do the scores with the free and pro version vary alot?

you get higher than that. the 5700 is basically a radeon 9600 clocked a little higher, more trans, and faster memory. should score atleast a 1000.

But 378 is in the hundereds range, it seems as others are in the 1000's range, and I think my card is at least halfway decent, and I have a gig of memory.......
