3DMark06 CPU score, Good?

if ur talking to me.. yea i should.. weird tho cuz i can run so many games at way higher fps then i was getting on 3dmark.. hmm wonder whats wrong with my system right now

Yeah, something's wrong there. My 7600 can pull 3000's. Do you have recent drivers loaded?
He's talking about the CPU score alone, not the combination score.

As for getting 2850, thats great if it's stock. On my E6300 @ 3.13Ghz, I got 2775.

If your system runs fine apart from the 3dmark scores then don't worry, Gauging your system on this one benchmarking app is silly. :)

I found PerformanceTest at http://www.passmark.com to be much more useful for judging system performance. Even the trial version lets you save your different benchmarks that you can later evaluate performance against as you make different tweaks.

IMO 3dmark takes too long to run through it's testing regimen. I think it's put out there by hardware manufacturers to make PC users feel bad about their current gear.

My Passmark score on my current rig is 730 :)
