Well I downloaded (and payed) for the advanced edition to find out SLI doesn't work. Framerates are 15-20 on Performance setting with a score of P3640. Seems like a wasted benchmark for SLI rigs at this point.
Haven't seen complaints from the CrossFire guys over at You Gamers forum, just SLI. Some have apparently got it working with Quadro (?) drivers but they won't install on my rig - (Hardware not supported message).
Overclocking seems to make little difference and whether PhysX is set to CPU or to GPU seems to not matter - The benchmark seems to run PhysX from the CPU regardless of settings. Overall the bench appears to be nearly wholly GPU dependent. Hopefully nVidia will have some drivers out soon.
There's no way they'll leave such a universally used benchmark with such a major flaw. If it works only with CFX, I hope it's not some sort of brand bias they have because that'll be a lot of lost respect for such a great benchmark. Sure, ATI has lower wattage requirements and heat output generally, but nVidia delivers on its performance and performance is what drives these benchmarks.
More good news, seems that installing 3DM11 corrupts Vantage. Uninstalling both and reinstalling Vantage won't solve the problem. A system restore is the only way.
