3DMark11 Officially Released

Something about 3DMark and my CPU just don't mix. I get a black screen when it tries to run the physics/combined test. 3DMark 06 gave me ~2fps through their series of CPU tests, and I'm pretty sure my CPU is good enough to get me at least 15fps on 5 year old software :P

Thinking of starting a 3dmark11 thread...for a contest there. Only issue is it will only be for people with DX11 cards.

Nope even when I had a Intel hex core (12 threads) at 4.2ghz with 3dmark 06 I still only got about 7 FPS max on the CPU2 test and 5 FPS on cpu1 test

So this is the latest release of the program? ( i'm not keeping up with this so i really dont know:confused: )

That's absolutely ludicrous! Why is it so ridiculously demanding? Especially for such an old program. :S

Control Panel > NVIDIA Control Panel > Global Settings, (Application Settings won't work), > SLI Rendering Mode > Force Alternate frame rendering 2.
Flickers like hell, but loads both cards and brings scores up, but doesn't scale like it should. I can match or beat a 480 in frame rates on most any game, but a single 470 scores higher in 3DM11. Hoping nVidia will release some drivers soon to address this.

thanks jevery for letting me know. i havnt tried it yet, but i was wondering what would happen if i changed that setting in the control panel. what would happen if i set it for alternating frames when i try to play a game, or should i just leave it at default for games? thansk again

Don't know - Since it obviously isn't optimal settings I've also been setting it back to default after benching. What P scores are you getting with the pair of 470s?

yeah so i scored only P4126. dont think this bench is ready for the market yet. all i know is my pc blazes through everything, so ill scrap this bench until they get some fixes for it.

All these futuremark benchmarks are always designed for the future, and there are no really demanding DX11 games yet (besides metro 2033 because it runs fine apart from horrible DOF)

SLI isn't scaling well in 3dmark11 yet. I'm guessing future driver updates will help that.

Plus your CPU isn't going to score high, an Athlon II at 3.5ghz is definitely a bottleneck to two gtx470's.
