4 displays, 1 computer.

I have a friend who wants a computer which can work 4 independent screens at the same time, so he can maximize 4 different programs on each screen (like 4 desktops). Is the possible and if it is wat do i need?
 
yeah i was just reading up on google. I typed if it was possible with sli, i just meant with 2 cards lol.
 
Lol, i never noticed you type sli anwhere in your post... But i was just saying its possible as long as the cards arent in sli. Just remember you cant have fullscreen programs, you can have programs maximized though.

anyway, he will b using the 4 displays for presentations, charts n stuff, will he need 2 powerful graphics cards?

maybe 4870's or more like 9600gt's
 
Get a Matrox card, they are some of the best when it comes to multi displays. I think you can even buy a 4 output card so you would only have to buy one card.
 
where i live the 9600gt is only a little bit more expensive than the 4650, So should i just go 4 the 9600gt's then?
 
Depending on where you live, yes matrox can be pricey. The 4650 is just as good if not better than the 9600gt in most places, id go with it.
