4 x 7800 GTX's in SLI!

it's a board made by Gigabyte which has 4x PCI-E 16x slots. it can run 2 cards at PCI-E 16x each, or 4 cards at PCI-E 8x each
and it's running 4 7800 GTX's!!

this is ^ not important, the important thing that if u run 4 gpu togther u will get unbelievable high performance

Current SLI boards with 2 slots only run at 8x each. So in that board 2 16x would be really good.

it doesn't work linearly like that. And even the 7800 series doesn't use much of the bandwidth afforded by pci-e.

they can actually run 2 pci-x cards at 16x now. i saw the benchmarks for it and the results really didn't seem that good, it would appear that gigabyte have made a product that is completely unsupported by nvidia at the driver level, so no quad SLI for now.

Lol exactly, you'll spend $1500 on those 4 gfx. cards and then you'll need to spend another $1000 just to get some of the performance those things can output.

Actualy its not 4 in SLI, its 2 pairs of 2 running in SLI.
