You may have to reinstall Avast to correct the following.

O23 - Service: avast! Mail Scanner - Unknown owner - C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashMaiSv.exe" /service (file missing)
O23 - Service: avast! Web Scanner - Unknown owner - C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashWebSv.exe" /service (file missing)
You can click the fix option on the following seen here.
O23 - Service: NVIDIA Display Driver Service (NVSvc) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvsvc64.exe (file missing)
O23 - Service: Security Accounts Manager (SamSs) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe (file missing)
The better recommendation here would to be to run a system registry cleaner and the system file checker(sfc /scannow at the Run prompt) since these shown here are being seen as invalid entries in the system registry. A few freeware registry cleaners and tools can be found at http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloads15.html RegCleaner and Lexun RegScrubXP are a pair of great freewares to try there.

Don't know why is that...maybe i messed something up cause i did a scan with the Registry Mechanic and after every scan i just select it to fix all the problems and i really don't understand some of them...is that wise?to just click the repair everything option after a scan with the Registry Mechanic?

Ok,other then this invalid regitryes my PC should be virus, spyware free?Sorry for being so paranoid, this thing with the processor usage happened a few days ago and there where some extra 2 or 3 processes but everything seems to be fine now and back to normal. Thanks very much for the reply PC EYE.
After doing what you've told me should i post a hijackthis log again?Oh and why are there so many (file missing) bits at the end of those lines?Other than the ones you've pointed out?
Sorry for being ignorant.
Cheers.;)

Hope you understood my previous post.
The original hijackthis log i've posted was right after this procedure:

AD-Aware scan.(clean)
SpyBot S&D(clean)
Registry Mechanic(108 problems,105 fixed)
Avast AntiVirus thorough scan(0 problems found)
*everything has the latest definitions, and was scaned in normal windows mode.

Just to clarify if i missed/or i was understood in my original post.
Thanks in advance.;)

The log didn't indicate a virus while many trojans are easily hidden without being seen in a log. It does sound more like an invalid registry entry continuing to load a driver with no program installed(any recent software changes?) or something didn't install fully or correctly. Even after a complete reinstallation of XP along with all softwares RegCleaner still found invalid(don't pertain to anything) entries in the registry. That was on a newly primary partition. You may want to try a few other programs out to see if anything is hidden on the drive causing this.
