$400 budget build help.

i believe i found the problem and that is i had the esata cable from the front of the tower plugging into the disc drive but i need a sata cable plugged into the disc drive i just dont know where the esata plugs in on the mb. i have sata ports 1-5. do i plug the esata into one of those. i dont know what esata is but the cable is the same and would fit but i dont know where i should plug it in at. do i plug it into one of my sata 1-5 ports?

You got both the SATA cable (plugged into the drive and board) and power cable on the DVD drive?

Yes you plug the eSATA cable from the case into one of the SATA port on the board.

yes i do and my disc is loading well. thanks for the info about plugging in the esata port i will do that next. I appreciate everything you guys have done.

^ Nah, there shouldn't be a difference. eSATA is the same interface as regular SATA, just shaped a bit differently.

I just wanted to come back and say I am happy with this build. It works nicely for me, so thanks again benny. I have one more question, can I use a 400w power supply with this build? If so does anyone have a recommendation? I plan on building another one of these in the next couple of days for my girlfriend but I want to run a 400w power supply instead.
