$400 computer build?

can somebody tell me what parts i should get to make a $500 computer on newegg? i already have a 1080p monitor and i have a apollo nzxt case. i want it for playing the games mostly. i dont need to play crysis at max. this will be my first build. should i go vista or xp on it?

yes you should if you have some knowledge with PC. I save quite a bit of $$

i took apart my computer when i was cleaning it and it still works. i tooks off the cpu and power supply and they were easy to put back. i didnt think it would work when my dad took of the cpu and blew the dirt off with compressed air.
