Hmm, i found a new gpu, if i unlock the pipes and with a slight oc, its suppose to get upper 4000's for 3dmarks05-annihilating a 9800

if i could make a suggestion, for the processor I would go with a 2400+ xp-mobile. I have one of those and it is awesome, it is fully unlocked (I believe), runs cooler and uses less energy.

seems nice, but its already under par for preformance, so idk if i'd go for it, point me in the direction of one if u find one on newegg or somethin though

Because for the socket class they are using, AthlonXPs are better

I think the XP would be a better deal unless he goes for the socket 754, then he might as well get an athlon 64.

However, are you sure you only want a hard drive with ATA-100? That's a little slow. Wouldn't you want something of ATA-133 speed?

Wont make a difference whatsoever really (of course, if you can get ATA-6 for the price of ATA-5 then you might as well!)

isn't the connection better/faster on an ata-133? or whats even the point of going higher then?
