45nm AMD Release Questions

I'm looking to upgrade my rig, as I simply threw in a cheap processor to get me by until the 45nm AMD's came out.
I've heard Q4 2008 mostly, but none of my sources were very sure.

What sort of energy saving precautions will they implement?
I'm not looking to run 140w just on my processor, the electric bill is high enough without a processor using double the power of my current one. ( 95w would be nice, given they already have 65nm 95w's that are of fair power...)

And will these new 45nm's yield any price drops towards older processors within a month?

EDIT:
Are they talking Q4 fiscal or calendar year?
Will this stuff be in like, by the end of the year or by the end of September??

i dont know if your board will support the 45nm..i read somewhere ony am3 boards with ddr3 memory will get the 45nm someone correct me if im wrong

The 45nm. with have a controller to support DDR2 and DDR3. I dont think you will see many desktop 45nm. this year because the will probable ramp up the production the the server Opteron 45nm. first. Then move to the desktop release. It should run cooler and with less watts than the 65nm. As far as the prices dropping on the 65nm. parts after the release of 45nm., they should but I would say the 65nm. Phenom/Agena will be discontinued pretty quick to free up production of the 45nm.
